WILDDECK LTD is a UK company set up to build and publish consumer software products. Four rules the company set for itself before writing any code
These are commitments, not results. They describe how WILDDECK LTD intends to work. They are published now so that they can be held against whatever eventually ships.
Pick one problem that fits on a phone
A first product from a company with no users cannot afford breadth. The aim is a single, well defined job that a person can understand from the store listing without a tutorial, and finish in one sitting.
What this rules out: a platform, a suite, or anything that needs an onboarding sequence to explain what it is for.
Write the data notice before the first line of code
The privacy notice on this site was drafted first, and the software will be designed to fit it. Every field a product collects has to earn a row in a published table with a purpose and a lawful basis against it, or it does not get collected.
What this rules out: shipping an analytics library because it is convenient and working out the justification afterwards.
Charge for the software, not for the person using it
The intended model is a price, paid through the app store, for the thing itself. Where a subscription is used, the cancellation route belongs in the store account settings where a person already knows how to find it, and the terms say so in plain words.
What this rules out: free products funded by advertising identifiers, and cancellation flows that require an email to a human.
Answer the mailbox after launch, not only before it
Support for a small consumer product is the whole relationship. One published address, a stated target of three working days, and a written response for deletion and data requests inside the statutory month.
What this rules out: a contact page that is a form with no destination, and a support queue that only exists during a launch week.
A company with nothing to show can still say exactly what it will never do with your data.
That is close to the only advantage of being new, and this site spends it. The commitments in the privacy notice were written while there is still nothing built that would be inconvenient to change.
What the company is for, and what it is not
Set up to build consumer software products
The company is registered under SIC code 62012, business and domestic software development. In practice that means finished software sold to individual people rather than bespoke development billed by the day.

- Pricing through the platform store, so refunds and cancellation follow rules the person already knows.

- Documents written to be read by the person paying, not only by a reviewer.
Not an agency, not a data business
Being precise about the negative space is easier than describing a product that does not exist yet.
